Mohammad T.Zarindast
Producer-Director
Tony Zarindast was educated
in
California,
attending high
school in
Sacramento.
Upon graduation with
high honors, from
Cerritos College in
Norwalk, where he
majored in drama and
theatre arts.
Mr.Zarindast was
admitted in to the
UCLA motion picture
department. he
studied Editing,
Direction and Film
Making under the
supervision of John
Young, Edgar Brokaw,
Stanley Kramer and
Martin Scorcese.
For his masters
thesis, he produced,
directed, and
starred in full
length motion
picture, " Kill Alex
Kill", now being
released World-Wide
by Orion Pictures,
now MGM Studios.
After graduation,
with a masters
degree in Cinema,
Tony worked in
Hollywood for
several years as an
editor, eventually,
he organized his own
production company,
based at MGM
Studios. His first
production, which
Tony also directed,
was entitled "Cat IN
The Cage", a
contemporary
mystery. It received
top honors at the
1979 Cairo Film
Festival, and is now
being released by
First Look Media
World-Wide. and a
Film Called A
HOLLYWOOD STORY
which won Diploma of
HONOR from 1991
Moscow int. Film
Festival.
That was followed by
a major epic
entitled the "The
Guns and The Fury".
that Tony produced
and directed from
his own screenplay,
filmed in Egypt,
Tunisia and Rome,
Staring Peter
Graves, Cameron
Mitchell Ansara and
Albert Salmi.
By the year 2005,
Tony had produced
and directed more
than 14 features,
which have been
released world-wide
by independent
distributors,
including MGM
Studios.
Tony has just
completed his latest
film in title "VERTIGO".
titled "VERTIGO",
which
deals with a 55yr
old man with split
personality. He is
an Iranian-American,
who returns home
after 35 years.
Tony has started
pre-production on
his newest film
titled Dead Lanterns
a forbidden love
story which takes
place during Taliban
regime in
Afghanistan.
